WEEK 12

Week 12 is the last week and launching week. All the results of preparation and hard work is going to be showed to the indigenous children and pass finally pass maintenance responsible to the person in charge in Serendah Village. There are few preparations that we need to do on the launching day which is decoration of the venue, cleaning the floors and tables, prepare the foods and tableware. All of the students in Group 1 decided to go earlier for the preparation. We arrived the library at 10.30 am . When first step into the library, the environment is so much comfortable and the condition of the furniture and the interior be improved a lot. When I sat down, I can feel the atmosphere that feel like want to study. Warm lighting tone, new and sturdy tables and chairs,all the books are be categorized in different type of  books with color coding. WEEK 11

Week 11 is transformation week. Most of the transformations such as painting, moving in of  new furniture, and arranging the  books on the book shelf was be done. I did not went to the site instead, me and my group mates were looking for as much books as we can during this week as this is the last week to collect books and we only collected 800 books even after collected the books from juniors. Our target for this weeks is 200 books. The plan of giving brochure to collect books was not that effective as plan. This week, we tried to approach to the people other from Taylors University. I printed A5 size black and white brochure and ask one by one of my neighbor house. I went for 2 days and around 50 houses.First day was just around 5 books i collected as I think the method I passed the message was not clear enough as I only ask :'Do you have any books to donate for the kids ?' as I was too shy to ask. 5 Books Collected On First Day During the second day, I change ...

WEEK 10

Week 10 is festival break, hence our progression of this week was slow and have zero number of books.

Before the Week 10 break starts, Miss Norji and Mr Edwin suggest us to approach to the students from year 1 and 2. We went to every class to announced that it is compulsory for everyone to bring at least one book and pass it to us after the one week break. Also, the students that are in CSI Module also our target group. We clearly tells the type of books and the book age group that we need which is 4-17 year old. Miss Sin Ai also suggested that people who do not have a book at home can try to look in the book shop. There are more than 100 students in year 1 and 2. Hope that we can try to reach our target 1000 books soon. Miss Norji also ask me to announced in the Group Leader in Whatsapp Group of the locations of the box so that the group leader can pass the message to the rest of the group members. We also give another options of the location to collect the books which is in E504. It is nearer and more convenient for the design course students to put the books. For the students ...

WEEK 8

During week 8, there are 2 actions we did to collect more books. First one is we placed 2 semi-transparent  plastic box at the side of the entrance of SLC Centre to collects the books once there are anyone wants to donate books. The poster already be placed in some of the lift but not every lift. Box  The Poster That Be Placed In The Lift We need 2 boxes. One is for stationary and one is for books. Hence, I brought one of it from my home to save the cost of the box. Since I only have one, so Darren purchased one more box in case there are more books needed to fit inside. After few days the box be placed there, the box still empty and did not receive any books yet. I tried to change the position of the box to outside a few places of SLC to make the box more obvious. A3 size of the poster also be pasted on the each of the box to give clear direction and instruction of how and where the books to be placed. We checked the box every day yet still empty. T...
