WEEK 9
Before the Week 10 break starts, Miss Norji and Mr Edwin suggest us to approach to the students from year 1 and 2. We went to every class to announced that it is compulsory for everyone to bring at least one book and pass it to us after the one week break. Also, the students that are in CSI Module also our target group.
We clearly tells the type of books and the book age group that we need which is 4-17 year old. Miss Sin Ai also suggested that people who do not have a book at home can try to look in the book shop. There are more than 100 students in year 1 and 2. Hope that we can try to reach our target 1000 books soon.
Miss Norji also ask me to announced in the Group Leader in Whatsapp Group of the locations of the box so that the group leader can pass the message to the rest of the group members. We also give another options of the location to collect the books which is in E504. It is nearer and more convenient for the design course students to put the books. For the students in the CSI module, the requirement is 2 books for each students. So the aim is to collect around 140 books from them.
Group 4 is the fastest to pass us books. They manage to donates 8 books in total for the children for this week. We also managed to collect the books from Miss Shamira about 100 books.
The staff from the cafeteria contacted me said that she able to donates some books that fit the criteria to us. She called me through phone that she will pass the books to me at Friday morning. Before the day, I texted her to remind her to bring the books to the campus tomorrow. We collected nearly 50 books from her.
Conclusion of this week is, there are always have unexpected results if we are willing to have extra initiative to do something.
